Budget Award

The Finance Division has received a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award and a  Certificate of Recognition for Budget Preparation for its annual budget for Fiscal Year 2025-26.

To receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, an operations guide, a financial plan, and a communications device. The award and certificate, presented by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), are the highest awards in governmental budgeting. 

Annual Comprehensive Financial Report Award

The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) shows the City's actual revenues and expenses for the completed fiscal year. It is similar to balancing a household checkbook- only on a much larger civic scale. 

For the twenty-first consecutive year, the City of Hesperia's Finance Division has received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 2023-24 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. 

The certificate, presented by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), is awarded as the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
