How do I address City Council on items that may or may not be on the agenda?
The Council can be addressed by completing a speaker card and returning
it to the City Clerk before the Council meeting begins. For items that
are on the agenda the Mayor will call for you to speak at the time the
agenda item is heard.
If the item is not on the agenda, the
Mayor will call for you to speak during the Joint Public Comment section
of the agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes per item. In
compliance with the Brown Act, Council Members will not take any action
at council meetings for non-agendized items but may direct staff to
contact you at a later date or obtain more information about your
concern.
City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:30pm in City Hall.
